Posted on 25 June 2011: Kurt Danziger celebrated his 85th birthday on 3 June 2011. The Canadian Psychological Association was holding its annual meeting in Toronto at the time and a symposium titled, "Kurt Danziger: An Appreciation" was held to mark the occasion. The symposium was chaired by Katalin Dzinas and papers were presented by Ray Fancher, Richard Walsh-Bowers, Adrian Brock and Hank Stam. The History and Philosophy of Psychology Section of the Canadian Psychological Association subsequently gave Danziger a Lifetime Achievement Award. Unfortunately he was unable to attend the presentation for health reasons. Adrian Brock presented an overview of Danziger's career and read out a paper that Danziger had written for the occasion.
